It was definitely my favorite place on our trip. Of all the forts we've visited this one has had the most restoration done. We visited cobblers and carpenters, took the history tour and watched the 2pm firing of the cannon. Well worth the hour trip out of our way.
Wonderful day at Fort Ticonderoga! Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend visiting.
Very educational, with well laid out displays of artifacts. Some displays encourage activity, such as one where you get to build a type of fortification. The onsite reenactors are very knowledgeable and welcome questions gladly. Only hitch for me was the live cannon fire, but that's due to me not liking such loud noise
Excellent place to visit and it has improved so much over the years.
